Çimsa shared it’s sustainability vision with the employees of Niğde Factory
Integrating its sustainability understanding to all of its operations and being the first company from Turkey joining CSI, an international initiative in this field, Çimsa organized a Sustainability Information Sharing Meeting for the employees of Niğde Plant.
Çimsa Strategy, Marketing & Sustainability Assistant General Manager Ülkü Özcan stated that they are aiming to lead the industry for a livable future by growing profitably.
Çimsa, one of the leading cement and construction material manufacturers of Turkey, carries out all of its business and operations with the aim of a sustainable future. Accordingly, Çimsa organized a Sustainability Information Sharing Meeting at Niğde Plant to evaluate its sustainability vision with the employees and to listen to their suggestions.
During the meeting held with the attendance of Çimsa Strategy, Marketing & Sustainability Assistant General Manager Ülkü Özcan and Çimsa Niğde Plant Manager Adnan Güven, information on the sustainability activities since 2010 has been shared with the employees.
Stating that sustainability management is an indispensable part of Çimsa’s business culture, Ülkü Özcan said, “We are aiming to fulfill our responsibility for a more livable world with the sustainability insight we have integrated to all of our activities.” Özcan indicated that they have become the first Turkish company joining the Cement Sustainability Initiative (CSI) of the World Business Council for Sustainable Development with a significant leap in 2013 and stated that all members of this initiative operate for accelerating the progress towards sustainable development.
Pointing out the requirement of sustainable growth, Ülkü Özcan continued, “All of our shareholders’ support in the path to the target for creating a sustainable world is vital for us. Accordingly, we see the our dialogs with the stakeholders and integration efforts as an important step.”
